My name is Brad, and I'm an aspiring writer who loves exploring. I lived in two areas of the Andes mountains while serving in the Peace Corps, where for three years I learned as much as I could about Peru and visited as many nooks and crannies as my shoestring budget permitted. Today I still visit the country annually with my wife. This site is an ever-growing collection of my favorite stories and tips for visiting and getting to know Peru. The name, pronounced "kahpac nyan", comes from the Quechua name for the Inca Trail. The Inca Trail is the name given to the famous trek to Machu Picchu, but the network of paths actually reaches all corners of the Andes. It represents the hidden adventures waiting for us in even the most well-known destinations. The articles I post are mostly from my travels in Peru but also include cultural resources and trips to other fascinating corners of the globe. My first publication will focus on Peru, with more information on that to come. Also, I love llamas!! |
