Peru: Hidden Treasure starts off with a slightly cerebral feel in its presentation of the country, with attractive shots of the many landscapes in Peru. Although it gives off the vibe of being a long promotion for potential tourists to see, the documentary does a fine job of weaving in Peru's natural world, food, history, famous sites, and places that are not-so-famous but are decidedly worth the visit. While it is a good summary of what the South American country has to offer the new visitor, it is also enjoyable and informative for those who know Peru well. Admittedly, I found myself taking mental notes of places I had not yet visited to put them on my future trips list! Peru: Hidden Treasure premiered on November 9, 2017 and is available on Netflix. As of the time of this writing it was available with Spanish audio with subtitles in various languages, including English.
